The Virginia Zoo is positioned next to the Lafayette Park and the Lafayette river and covers 53 acres of land. This  famous zoo is home to nearly 400 animals, which range from tortoises to giraffes.

The Virginia Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day). The Virignia Zoo is located at 3500 Granby Street in Norfolk, VA.
